Manchester United lines up alternative as Fernandes deal hit deadlock

Manchester United have reportedly lined up Juventus midfielder Emre Can has alternative to Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes after a deal to bring the Portuguese midfielder hit deadlock.
United hierarchy are said to be furious with Sporting's decision to raise their asking price for Fernandes to 75 million pounds from initial 65 million .
The former are desperate to bring in a midfielder this January in order to strengthen the team and will make a move for Can if they fail to land Fernandes.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are ready to rival Chelsea for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and could force make move for the player in this window.
Werner has scored 18 league goals for Leipzig and his current deal expire July, but still valued around €30m, something Liverpool and Chelsea are eager match
