Former Nigeria youth International Dominic Udoh Daniel has said one of the decisions that almost ruined his football career is the one he made to represent Nigeria youth team ahead of England.

The player who was with Stevenage Academy in 2013 said because he was born in Nigeria, he decided to represent his father land ahead of the country he resides.

The Lagos born Daniel said in a chat with the newsmen that he left Nigeria with his parents when he was young and moved to England where he started his football career as a teenager, he continued by saying Stevenage Academy decided to release him because he did spend more time with Nigeria U17 team.
" They (Stevenage) were unhappy that I stayed too long in Nigeria and my contract was terminated. Before then I had attended a training camp of the England U17 team but for me and family representing Nigeria comes first and no regret that it almost ended my career before it started."

Daniel Udoh 23, who now plays for English lower league side (league 2) Shrewsbury Town said he never regretted his decision to represent Nigeria.
The attacker has now showed his interest of playing in the English Premier league one day but he's still looking forward to help his new team maintain their standard in League two.
