Mobet village in Uasin Gishu county has been left in shock after a pastor at Jesus Pentecostal was caught red-handed making love to a cow on Monday.
The Pastor, James Wachira who had just moved into the village and begun a new church is said to have been caught with a chair and a torch at John Kiplagat's cowshed.
"At around six in the morning, I heard some unusual movement from my cowshed. My son and I woke up to go check if everything was okay," Kiplagat narrated.
On reaching the cowshed, Kiplagat and his son caught the pastor with his trouser half way down near a cow. The pastor who had been ambushed and could not run was tied with ropes and forced to explain what he was doing with the cow at such a time of the day.
"We did not believe what we saw and so we forced him to tell us what he was doing with the cow," Kiplagat added.
The pastor defended himself by saying the demons had taken over him and he did not understand how he had found himself with the cow.
"All I know is that I was sleeping at my house then the next thing I wake up near the cow," Wachira claimed.
Angry villagers who had arrived at the homestead after word of the bizarre incident went round were almost beating up the pastor before the cows' owner intervened and calmed them down.
Elders in the village later convened an urgent meeting where they agreed to excommunicate the pastor.
